Last update for the night. We're going to try to get some decent sleep tonight since he's doing really well so far :)
I was able to nurse him successfully this time :D :D :D He was a bit more awake this time, and we just kept the blow-by oxygen handy for the couple times when his O2 dropped a bit. The respiratory therapist said that even healthy babies have moments, especially while eating, where their oxygen will drop, and it's just that we don't have O2 monitors on them to know it.
But he nursed really well for about 5 minutes, which is HUGE considering that earlier today he just barely latched on for a few seconds before falling asleep :D So they did go ahead and give him 100cc's in the feeding tube to make sure he got enough, but I was so proud of my little man :D
So now the big thing is waiting on the results of the urinalysis tomorrow. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers, and cross your fingers that it comes back negative so they don't have to start him on that yucky formula and he can keep getting Mama Milk :)
Well, I'm gonna go shower and try to get some sleep :) I've got some sweet pictures of Mike getting to hold Sprout for the first time since all this started, and hopefully I'll get a chance to process and post them tomorrow :D

I'm so glad you got to nurse him! I'll be saying prayers tonight that the milk sugar doesnt show up in his urine cause that would be very much a bummer if he has to have the nasty smelling formula! You do what you have to do but mommy's milk is best! Hang in there, this has to be a nightmare for you but your post's are great and the tone sounds like youre taking all of this better than I would be! Get some rest and I'll keep praying for good news tonmorrow!!

Jess,it is great to hear he is doing so good. I am so glad that you both got to hold him and that you got to nurse him. The little fellow must have been feeling so lost without his Mommy's arms. Take care of yourself too, and know that many prayers and lots of love are being sent your way.
